The Lisboa brick pizza oven is a beautiful, handmade, white brick wood-fired oven with a gorgeous stone face, handmade by generations of craftsmen in a rural village just north of Lisbon, Portugal.

Don’t let the name fool you; you can cook much more than a pizza. Plus, the Lisboa oven also has the capability for spit-fire rotisserie roasting so you can have mouth-watering rotisserie chicken, turkey, lamb, and more!

AUTHENTIC BRICK, NEVER CLAY

All of our ovens are AUTHENTIC BRICK, not CLAY! Be careful of this when shopping oven brands- there IS A DIFFERENCE. Our ovens are HANDMADE in Portugal and are triple-insulated, which means the outside of the oven is cool to the touch while the inside is blazing hot!

PREMIUM HARDWARE UPGRADE

The Lisboa PREMIUM Brick Pizza Oven Stone Arch boasts premium hardware, including a black NON-RUST CAST ALUMINUM door, chimney cavity, and STAINLESS STEEL chimney. The door features a peep-through high-heat viewing window, providing a glimpse into your culinary creations. The door on the Premium Lisboa Oven opens from left to right and is split like a barn/Dutch door.

BUILT WITH LAYERS OF STRENGTH & EFFICIENCY

Each oven is HANDMADE in Portugal by skilled artisans and built to last. They feature a triple-insulated design:

    (1) An inner layer of genuine fire brick and mortar;
    (2) Followed by a thick wrap of our internationally patented Rockwool insulation; and
    (3) Then secured with metal batting and encased in refractory cement.

This may sound exaggerated but yes, you can fit multiple pizzas inside this oven, but realistically, here's how Patio & Pizza recommends you get the most use out of your space. We've scaled it down so you can get the picture.

Lisboa Oven Features

Built brick by brick by Portuguese craftsmen, these traditional ovens are exactly what any outdoor space needs to truly become unique. The Lisboa brick oven is built on a 3.15-inch concrete base so you only need to build 2 strong brick walls (or concrete) with each 6 inches wide, as a base for this oven.

This traditional oven holds onto heat for over 3 hours with its door shut, letting you walk away from the oven without worrying your cooking temperature will sink like a rock.

  • The patented dome shape creates intense yet non-damaging heat which is perfect for pizzas, bread, roasts, cooked dishes, grills, and others.
  • 6” long spout with flu/damper - a longer chimney with rain cap(shown in pictures) can be easily added
  • The inside of this oven has ROCKWOOL insulation, and the outside is made with refractory cement and 100% natural clay
  • There is no need for additional exterior insulation
  • Dome and floor are completely built in refractory bricks
  • Retains heat, with the door closed, more than 3 hours
  • Keeps its superb appearance even after many years of use - can be painted, tiled, or built in - just cure it first and use 'high heat' products
  • To simplify oven's shipping and prevent damages, the Lisboa oven is delivered with a wood frame protection
  • Productivity: 30 pizzas per hour. Cooks pizza’s in 60-90 seconds and has the capacity to cook two 12″ pizzas at a time. The oven uses approximately 4-6 lbs of hardwood per hour depending on the moisture and wood type.

Your oven will be delivered with a special Ultrafire product patch kit to address superficial cracks that may develop. However, it is normal for authentic handmade ovens to crack, and is considered seasoned and most desired in Europe! Cracks do NOT affect the function of the oven and your pizzas will still be marvelous!
  • Rotisserie Capable - you can add a rotisserie for added cooking options (spitfire rotisserie can be purchased separately)

    • What's the floor size of the brick ovens from Authentic Pizza Ovens?

      There is 5" from the bottom of the oven to the floor base. The base filled with Rockwood insulation is approximately 2.5" so the bricks are around 2.5" thick as well.

    • What's the heating time of stainless steel and brick ovens?

      Stainless steel pizza ovens will heat faster but they won't stay hot as long. Brick ovens take longer to completely heat but the heat will be retained in the oven for much longer cooking times.  

    • What is the difference between the LISBOA and FAMOSI ovens?

      These ovens are exactly the same with just a different face. The Lisboa has a traditional Mediterranean-style face while the Famosi has a unique handmade black brick face. Both of these pizza ovens have cooking areas of 31"w x 31"d x 20"h and have a rotisserie/spitfire option for grilling amazing meats.

    • Do I need a cover for this Lisboa outdoor brick pizza oven?

      While the Lisboa pizza oven is very durable and stands up well in harsh weathers, we always recommend covering any outdoor appliance when not in use to protect it from the sun, rain, and harsher weathers.   With proper care and covering with the Brick Oven Covers, your outdoor Lisboa wood-burning oven should last a lifetime!

    • What is the difference between the Lisboa and the Pizzaioli pizza ovens from Portugal?

      The Lisboa and Pizzaioli are very similar ovens.   The differences with the Lisboa are:   (1) It has a dutch door so you can open half or all of it,  (2) It is rotisserie capable for cooking chicken or meat on a spit, (3) It has a higher dome and taller door – some people like that for ambiance when outside with fire burning,  (4) It has a slightly smaller width door opening than the Pizzaioli but still plenty big for pizzas and dishes.  So, it really just comes down to which style of wood-fired pizza oven you like and whether you may want to use a rotisserie for cooking meats in your pizza oven.

    • I’m thinking of starting a wood fire pizza food truck. Would any of these ovens be suitable for that?

      We don't recommend this oven for your food truck business. Here's a list of commercial pizza ovens that we carry to help you pick the right one that will suit your style. I'd also like to add a link to our blog post on everything you need to know about starting a food truck business!

    • Are there any clearances required with these ovens - side to side or above the chimney if in a covered location?

      These ovens are not certified for indoor use. When built outside, make sure it is far from any combustible materials. We have a blog post to help you prepare when installing your pizza oven; although it's an article about indoor ovens, this will still give you an idea as to what is recommended and what needs to be considered when setting this up.

    • Are the ovens sanitary grade or nsf certified

      Our ovens from Authentic Pizza Ovens are not NSF Certified. You can find all of our NSF Cerfitifed pizza ovens here.

    • Where do you purchase the burner for the "Hybrid-Ready" oven?

      You can get the gas burners through Belforno.

    • Does the Lisboa outdoor pizza oven only come with a white dome?

      You have 3 choices with the Lisboa Pizza Ovens. You can get (1) the ones with a white dome; (2) with a gorgeous Stone Finish; or (3) a beautiful Rustic Finish.

    • Do you sell anything to fill in the cracks on my oven?

      Yes! We carry the Ultrafire Pizza Oven Repair Kit that can be used to fill any cracks

    • Will there be problems with Lisboa oven in winter?

      We have customers that have this oven in snow without any issues. We recommend using a cover when not in use.

    • What tools do I need for my wood-fired pizza oven?

      You will need a Pizza Peel to put your pizza pie in the oven, turn the pizza while in the oven, and pull out your scrumptious pizza when it's done. Next, we recommend a good Infrared Thermometer to measure the heat in your oven when cooking. An oven Brush for brushing away the ashes, and an Ash Shovel to remove the ash after cooking.

      The door of the PREMIUM Lisboa Oven is made of high quality non-rust cast aluminum.
