For the cork finish, the top layer of the Pizzaioli brick wood fired oven is sprayed with a cork layer which makes a fourth layer of insulation that reduces the chance of cracking while giving a very unique finish.  The customers lucky enough to get one tell us they love the look!

The design of the traditional Portuguese Pizzaioli  brick oven allows for perfect heat distribution inside the cooking area due to it's multi-faceted inner surface; there are no cold areas because bricks radiate heat inside the oven at every possible angle.

All Authentic Pizza Ovens brick ovens are made with steel eyelets in each corner for hoisting into place. These can be easily cut off after it's put into position.

  • Hey guys! Just wondering if you ship to canada? Also if outside how well do these hold up to the elements?

    The Pizzaioli brick ovens hold up extremely well in harsh elements. Several customers have sent us pictures cooking in their Pizzaioli in the snow!  Like most outdoor accessories, we do recommend covering your pizza oven when not in use to protect it from the rain and sun but it should last you many years of enjoyment! 

    We do stock some of our Authentic Brick Ovens in Canada.  If the oven is in Canada, there are no additional freight charges.  If not, shipping to Canada is an option with extra freight charges.  If you email your address to hello@patioandpizza.com, we can let you know what it would take to get the Pizzaioli pizza oven to you.  :-)

  • What tools do I need for my wood fired pizza oven?

    You will need a pizza peel to put your pizza pie in the oven, turn the pizza while in the oven, and pull out your scrumptious pizza when it's done. Next, we recommend a good infrared thermometer to measure the heat in your oven when cooking, an oven brush for brushing away the ashes, and an ash shovel to remove the ash after cooking.   • What's the floor size of the brick ovens from Authentic Pizza Ovens?

    There is 5" from the bottom of the oven to the floor base. The base filled with Rockwood insulation is approximately 2.5" so the bricks are around 2.5" thick as well.  

  • Will there be problems with Pizzaioli oven in winter?

    We have customers that have this oven in snow without any issues. We recommend covering when not in use.  

  • Would the cork absorb and retain water/moisture from rain, etc for Pizzaioli oven?

    The cork option actually provides an extra layer of insulation to protect the brick dome from moisture, cracking, etc. With that said, we always recommend covering your oven when not in use to protect it from the elements because, like everything else, it will look better and stay in better shape when protected from excessive sun and rain.  

  • What's the heating time of stainless steel and brick ovens?

    Stainless steel pizza ovens will heat faster but they wont stay hot as long. Brick ovens take longer to completely heat but the heat will be retained in the oven for much longer cooking times.  

  • Do you sell anything to fill in the cracks on my oven?

  • Is the Pizzaioli oven suitable for a small commercial kitchen?

    Yes, it is suitable for a commercial kitchen. It is a great oven and keeps warm for many hours even after cooking.  

  • What are the features of PIZZAIOLI and BRAZZA ovens?

    These ovens are exactly the same with just a different face. The Pizzaioli has a traditional terracotta brick face and iron zinc plated door while the Brazza has a black/dark brown cast stone face with a black door to match.  

  • What tools do I need for my wood fired pizza oven?

    You will need a pizza peel to put your pizza pie in the oven, turn the pizza while in the oven, and pull out your scrumptious pizza when it's done. Next, we recommend a good infrared thermometer to measure the heat in your oven when cooking, an oven brush for brushing away the ashes, and an ash shovel to remove the ash after cooking.

  • What are the options for lifting the pizza oven from the ground up on to the base? I read it was 1100 lbs

    While most customers think moving the brick ovens into place is the most difficult task, it isn't as hard as you'd think and definitely worth it!  The oven is shipped packed in a crate on a pallet so most customers use one of the following methods:  1.  Move the entire crate using a forklift and then once opened, move the oven into place with either the forklift or engine hoist.  2.  Open the crate and move the oven with an engine hoist (attaching chains to the 4 eyelets on the corners of the oven).  3.  Open the crate and move the oven with a crane (attaching chains to the 4 eyelets on the corners of the oven).   As we don't know the local contractors in your area, I'd recommend either asking the contractor doing your backyard work if they can provide one of the options mentioned above or checking on Angie's List to find a reliable local contractor. 

  • How does the Lisboa brick oven compare to the Pizzaioli brick oven?

    To sum up our Authentic Brick Ovens, the Lisboa and Famosi are the same oven with different faces.  The Pizzaioli and Brazza ovens are the same with different faces.   
    The differences with the Lisboa (or Famosi) pizza oven from the Pizzaioli/Brazza are as follows:   
    (1) The Lisboa and Famosi brick ovens have a higher dome and taller door – some people like that for its ambiance to watch the fire burning, 
    (2) The Lisboa and Famosi brick ovens have a dutch door so you can open half or all of it,  
    (3)  The Lisboa and Famosi brick ovens are rotisserie-capable for cooking chicken or meat on a spit, 
    (4) The Lisboa and Famosi brick ovens have a slightly smaller width door opening than the Pizzaioli/Brazza ovens but the door is taller.  

  • Hello, for this "Pizzaioli Wood Fired Pizza Oven with Cork Finish oven", what base should I use? I have an existing EP Henry Paver Patio, can this sit on the Patio? Should I build out a separate platform to the patio? If so, dDo you have a base that I can build that will hold this weight of an oven? Is there a base that you sell that will hold this oven?

    The Pizzaioli wood-fired oven is perfect for your patio and should be fine with its base sitting on your pavers.  For the Pizzaioli brick oven, you simply need a base that can hold around 1100 lbs.  Lots of customers use concrete blocks to build their bases.  If you send a quick email to hello@PatioandPizza.com, we can send you a quick reference sheet that shows an example of the base others build.  We also carry a metal cart/stand that was built to hold these ovens.  You can find the cart for the brick pizza ovens here.  Let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
